Issues/Resolutions

This project is running a bit different to previous exercises. The design process is being "flipped on it's head", with the class beginning to ideate and think of solutions before a lengthy research process is completed. Instead further research will be completed and honed in on a specific issue when and where it need be.

As a group and then a class we pooled together our findings and possible resolutions, which was really helpful especially because when bouncing new ideas off one another. It really helped to highlight which areas seem to be of a high concern on Dominion Road and concreted our individual thoughts.

We found a range of issues, but I have chosen to focus on the perception of security and safety which is my over arching theme.

The perception of safety can be addressed in a multitude of ways but I see the most potential in the following areas:

-lighting & interaction

-aiding road stakeholders adjust to the light rail development/construction

-vandalism/street upkeep
