Lotus Blossom/Add Constraints

I used the Lotus Blossom Brainstorming Method to quickly ideate a range of different ideas that could make people feel more secure while using public transport on Dominion Road. Although trying to keep an open mind through out the thinking session I always referred back to my "Word Cloud" and my research brainstorm on "What makes us feel safe?". I also worked around my three key themes to making people feel comfortable on public transport - Security, Interaction, and Confidence.

I started with my eight best ideas from my sketchook so far, and branched off each idea to complete the method. To stimulate myself I added constraints every time I reached a blockade (pictured below) even if they were irrelevant they provoked a new angle of thinking.

Once the method was complete I moved onto a little more creative thinking then began refining and selecting ideas.
