Adding Constraints

Now I had a redefined opportunity statement it was time to revisit some of my original ideas and evaluate a direction for Wednesday.
I felt like I missed my shot on Monday in the critique, so I put the pressure on myself to come up with three new concepts as if I were to present on Wednesday! Hence I could gain feedback and really crack into it.
I decided to "Add Constraints" before picking out my new ideas - constraints inspire creativity in the design thinking process and more importantly for me kept my ideas in check and within set boundaries. After my critique feedback, listening to what other ideas in the class were praised, and a self evaluation of my ideas I created a small set of general constriants - which will be defined and enhanced once my final direction is certain.
Constraints:
-Consist of no more than two components
-Simple and cheap to repair or replace
-Retrofit to existing infrastructure or adapt to new infrastructure in the new light rail plan
-Identify clearly with research into "what makes people feel safe)
-Function automatically or as a one-step interaction to avoid forgiveness issues or a requirement of prior knowledge or recognition
