Lighting Technology

As part of reinventing my three concepts, I need to collate and gather evidence about the relevant technology I know exists so I can really sell my idea to AT and also work my solutions around the inclusion of these technologies. Assessing the cost and viability of each technology will assist in choosing which concept to proceed with once I get some second opinions from class. I've bulleted pointed a few key aspects of each technology that is relevant and provided links to the resources below.
Illuminescent Paint (Concept 3)
-Quick drying glowing paint
-Only costs $15 US
-Non Toxic, Waterproof, and applicable to all surfaces
-Readily Availiable
-"Charges" with 15 minutes of light and provides illumination all night

Intelligent LED Lighting (Concept 1 & 2)
"Intelligent lighting is the ability to reduce the amount of light and/or energy used so that only the right amount of light is delivered exactly when and where it is needed."
I used the TI "LED Cookbook" to gain an understanding of LEDs, how they work in a circuit system with smart components and to get an initial over view of different products I could use and specifuy in my final solution.

-Multiple smart sensor options (Ambient Light, Motion, Metrology)
-Wireless Technology (ZigBee, 6loWPAN)
-Diagram below depicting connectivity of smart sensor system
-LED lights being much cheaper and cost effective with 50,000 hrs of life per unit
-Huge range of possible LED fitting choices (perhaps a Dimmable LED Lighting Driver or Nonsynchronous Boost LED Driver at a quick glance? - will confirm near finalisation of project)
