Research AT Lighting Upgrade

Steve Wrenn provided a few links in his critique response to the class. I picked up on this one especially regarding the roll out of replacement LED lights to sub out the old "golden glow" ones used at present.

I was curious about the power and function of these lights in regards to their reaching of the footpath, as this would render my solution catering to footpath illumination useless.

I have enquired via Rob Mayo to AT transport regarding this query and it seemed the light would still only be directed at the road, hence validating my responsive streetlight solution.

Its useful to note that LED lights seem to be AT's approved way forward - and should be something I include in my solutions if appropiate.

Steve also mentioned that while lighting at bus stops is an issue, lighting on the way to the shelter needs to be considered (which I am doing). Critically if it is decided to address bus stop lighting, the solution must weigh against the $3000 cost of installing a normal streetlight next to the bus stop. Having a competing price point is useful going forward.
